Maria is a Reiki Master & Holistic Therapist. Her extensive background as a Dancer & Yogini, has always enriched her practice. She received her Reiki master degree in 2006, after
returning from an initiatory journey throughout Tibet. Since then, she has been
honored to share the magic of healing energy with many people around the world.
She has lived in Spain for 8 years, learning Yoga Satyananda & Pranavidya with her teacher & dear husband, Joserra. As well as sharing her knowledge & experience as Dance, Yoga & Pilates teacher, for cultural & health organizations.
She has learned and practiced for many years the Native-American traditions of Temazcal (Sweat Lodge), Vision Quest and Tipi Medicine Ceremonies with Mexican Shamans, Leo & Don Alfonso.
Maria has been involved in several community projects to bring Reiki, Yoga & Dance to places such as: Children's Hospital of the Californias, Hospital Castro -Limón for children with cancer, & the SOS Children's Village in Tijuana, Mexico.
Upon her return to Mexico in 2014, she has collaborated with innovative business companies in Tijuana, bringing Yoga to their employees. As well as promoting the benefits of Yoga in Education, empowering school teachers and students with Yoga tools.
She has taught contemporary dance at the Rosarito Center for the Arts (Ceart), and cofounded her own Yoga, Dance & Healing
Arts Center with her partner Joserra, in Rosarito.
Maria feels very fortunate to have worked as a Reiki healer for an international rehab sanctuary, giving an average
of 4 to 8 daily therapies over 2 years. Helping many people in critical condition to
regain their health and well-being.
In 1999, he was initiated in the 1st & 2nd degree of Reiki. By the same year, he delved into the foundations of Yogic Healing: Pranavidya & Yogatherapy. Thus he began to give Reiki & Pranavidya healing sessions, uninterruptedly, every Friday and Saturday from 1999 to 2005, along with a great Reiki team, yogis & yoginis from his Yoga school in Zaragoza.
In 2006, Joserra made an spiritual journey through the US, meeting & learning from Lakota & Navajo Medicine men and women. He also taught the first Yoga Nidra workshop in Tijuana, Mexico. There he met his partner & wife, María, from whom he later received the Reiki Master initiation.
He moves between Mexico & Spain,
teaching yoga seminars and leading yogic retreats. From 2015 to the present, he
collaborates with various business in Tijuana, bringing Yoga to their workplace.
He is a Yoga consultant for the educational multimedia company CLUB LIA and has created with them an interactive yoga tale for kinder garden children.
His Yoga for Education training, allowed
him to share yoga tools with more than 300 students at the Lekaroz Institute in
Navarra, Spain. As well, he offers Yoga for Education training to Elementary
and High Schools teachers in Baja California. In 2016, he opened a Yoga, Dance &
Holistic Center with his partner in Rosarito. In addition to teaching
Yoga courses in CEART.
Joserra has the gift, knowledge & experience to run a Temazcal (sweat lodge), as well as to conduct special healing ceremonies with medicinal herbs & plants. He also has the love & patience to grow his own veggies and takes care of an organic garden.
